I was going to apply to Midwestern in Chicago this coming year. I have a 3.15 GPA, same with math and science GPA. I am taking my PCAT in September and expect to do pretty decent given that I have done well on all my practice tests. I work for CVS as a pharm tech. I will not apply to the school till December. Will I still have a chance?

You still have a chance, but I think your chance will be pretty low since Midwestern at Chicago uses rolling admission.

Is that your first choice? If it is, I'd recommend you apply as early as you can. If it's just an alternate, I guess that's fine as long as you realize that the longer you wait until you apply, the less chances you have of getting in. If you have great stats, maybe it wouldn't really matter. 😀 I'm guessing they'd reserve some slots for the "outstanding-but-late" people.

Btw, I applied to Midwestern in Glendale, AZ in mid-January. I got in but I don't know how much more (or less) competitive the application is for Midwestern Chicago.

I remember submitting my pharmcas end of christmas break, submitted the supplemental first week after christmas break, got interview invitation the morning after, went to interview on February 3rd, and got accepted.

My gpa back then, before the academic update, was only slightly higher than yours.

Hope my application story makes you feel better!

(You should still submit your application as early you can, just because haha.)
