Do any of you know whether schools within a university know if you decide to apply to two different programs within the same university? (ie: MD and MPH, or MD and Pharmd/Dental, etc during the same cycle)? just wondering if I could keep my options open and it wouldn't be frowned upon or be used against you in the admissions process. Can they find out if you don't tell them? Just curious 🙂 Thanks!

I applied to both UMDNJ's MD and DO programs in the same application cycle. I don't think it's a big deal.

Just trying to be realistic if I can never get admissions to med school and have to figure out another health related career. That's all i am asking, because applying more than 3 times to med school is ridiculous to me (although I haven't reached that point yet)....Just don't want to waste year after year applying and actually never get started in a career. That's all.

if medicine is what you really want, then you could do a post bacc/smp type deal. http://forums.studentdoctor.net/forumdisplay.php?f=71
that way you could really strengthen your app and some have guaranteed interviews at the school if you maintain a certain gpa (may have other requirements, i'm just being incredibly vague with the little i know on the topic).
