I have a quick question. It seems that I am going to end up attending a postbacc program; the UC programs seem like a good fit. I will be done with my B.S. and pre-reqs by May of 2011, probably sooner. So, if I want to start a postbacc in Summer/Fall 2011, that means I have to apply next year, right? BUT, all the UC Postbaccs mention an undergrad degree and most pre-reqs (except 1 or 2) are required to gain entry into the program.

If I have not finished my B.S./Pre-reqs, can I still apply for the 2011 entry?

Since it is a post-bacc, you should have your degree before enrolling in the program. I went straight into a post-bacc program the fall after I graduated, meaning I was applying to the program that winter.

2011 is kinda far ahead though, you'll have plenty of time to figure things out.👍

You might not need to do a post-bac if you manage to get your grades up in the next two years. You should not aim for a post bac, you should be aiming to get into medical school. Do not understimate your chances. In this case, if you still need to do a post-bac, then at least you will have a momentum in your GPA which would look really good to admissions committee. Good luck!👍

What area of CA are you looking into? I'm strictly looking into SF Bay Area programs and would love to exchange info, etc, if you're looking around in the same area.
