I'm now starting to preparing to apply in the next cycle.
I'm considering a one year master program that begins this August but I'm going to submit my Aadsas in the June so I won't have my first semester of GPA available until December.
So in my case the masters program won't do me any good?

It will, you have the opportunity to submit an academic update between Nov-Feb which is when you can submit an updated transcript to AADSAS, just e-mail the schools when you do submit that update.

Oh cool, I'm guessing this also applies to senior year grades if I'm applying as a rising senior. But since most acceptances are supposedly given out on December 1st, I'm assuming the academic update can only help you get post-December interviews? Will a school completely reconsider your application once they receive a new semester's worth of grades?

I've received many post-dec interviews after updating an upward trend in grades, so I would say if you are on the brink of yes/no then an academic update with an upward trend will only help.

I was in the same boat, and still still working on my one year masters now. But i think it is something that helped me a lot this cycle and it is something you can bring up in interviews.
