When you apply at schools that let you apply despite having three prerequisites still left to complete, does that count labs?

Let's assume for a second that the average school that allows this allows you to apply with 3 classes remaining. (Correct me if that's not true.)

If by the school's deadline of January 15th, 2013, I am done with the GRE and all but Physics 2 and Chem 1 and 2 (and their labs), does that mean I can apply because that adds up to three subjects or do I really have six classes left (if you count the labs), meaning I probably can't apply yet?

I could be wrong, but I would imagine that the lab + lecture for one subject counts as 1 class/1 prerequisite.
You can always contact the schools you will be applying to to be sure.

I think the previous advice to ask the program how they'll treat it is the best advice there is. You'll get a definitive answer, hopefully in writing. And asking that question might be a good time for setting up an initial advising appointment, expressing your interest in their program, asking how you can make yourself more competitive. A dialogue with them will answer your question and hopefully more (and might start to give you a sense of some of the intangibles about a program...how they treat people, how responsive they are.)

But there might be another issue here related to timing. When does the program start? Most that I've seen start in the summer, which means that if you have Chem 1 and 2 undone as of January 15th, it might be difficult to have all the pre-reqs done by the time you'd have your first day of class. Not sure if this is the case for you, but its definitely an issue that I've had to work around with planning my pre-reqs.

I'm thinking you're right but hopefully somebody will correct me.

What DPT programs are you most interested in and when do they start? Also what is your timeline for finishing your prereqs ? Can you take chem 1 and physics 1 now?
