The specific school that I am wondering about says that I just have to have all the prereqs finished before classes start in the fall. Does that mean it can take my last prereq over the summer if I am accepted? I have almost a 4.0 in all the other prereqs.. does having one missing at the time of my application significantly lower my chances of acceptance? I indicated on my app that I plan on completing it before classes begin.

If they accept you, they will do it on a conditional basis. You basically need to have the remaining of your pre-reqs done by the start of the semester and must have passed them as well. I know many people who have gotten accepted with one pre-req in progress/planned so that should be no problem. That being said, everything is very competitive right now so the more you have done the better, but I am sure you'll get accepted! good luck!
