I will be applying next year and I've tried doing some searching but I haven't been able to find many answers. The only prereqs I will have left to complete after applying would be chemistry 1+2 with labs. Does anyone think this will hurt my application? I've done fairly well in all the other classes. Thank you!

I doubt it will hurt your application but I think this is something that varies from school to school. Some schools like you to have a certain number of pre-reqs completed before application. You may try sending emails to the different schools admissions department and see what their criteria is.

it wont hurt your application. if you get accepted somewhere your admittance will depend on if you pass those remaining pre reqs. i believe most schools allow you to have up to three remaining. check with specific programs though. i applied with two remaining and have 3 acceptances.

Most schools list which courses they require/how many outstanding courses allowed before applying on their website (I made a spreadsheet for my schools of interest at one point.).

I think that not being done with some prereqs has affected some schools to which I applied (Hunter, Downstate, Duke) as I have friends with lower tests scores, GPA's and fewer volunteer hours who have been contacted for interviews and the only reason I can figure I have not been contacted is because those friends have finished prereqs. At the same time, I am not willing to wait another admissions cycle and do have a couple interviews set up.

Hope that helps.
