I took the mcat last Friday (May 31). I am wondering how would it affect me if I only applied to one school this month so I can get everything verified. I plan on applying to more schools once I know what my mcat score is (on July 2). Also, when I add more schools on July 2, how long will it take for them to recieve my application? Thank you for your help!!

Should I apply to all my schools without knowing my mcat score or apply after knowing it? I just took the May 31st exam so I won't know it until July 2nd.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Applying without MCAT score is one of the dumbest mistakes a premed could make
A very large portion do, unfortunately. Like...a VERY large portion...

If you submit July 2, it will take 3-4 weeks to verify your transcripts before schools receive your file. If your score is terrible, you save the base cost of the AMCAS submission fees that you might have wasted.

If you submit now (to one school only, definitely don't add more when you don't yet know how competitive you are), as of today it takes five days to verify transcripts, once they are received. Once you know your MCAT score, you can add further schools depending on how competitive you are, and they'll get your file within a business day. The schools you'd apply to with a 505 vs 513 vs 520 are very different.

Do not apply to ALL your schools without knowing your MCAT score. You can't possibly know what most of them will be.
