I am interested in going to UCSD, I've completed their secondaries however I am an out of state resident so regardless of my scores, I know my chances are very small. I was wondering if it would be appropritate to set up an appointment with the dean of admissions and explain my interest in UCSD and explain how I've lived here for a year and am closely tied to the community?

yes if you are close enough to do it ...then do it....before i applied to NJMS i went to go meet with the dean of admissions....its better because they can put a face to countless numbers of apps and you showed some determination, which is a good thing🙂

When you met with him/her, what did you wear...business casual? Also, do you think it helped you?

Thanks

How do you really go about setting up an appointment with the Dean of Admissions? I thought most of them were busy, and they don't tend to respond to your e-mails much either.
