Is residency and fellowship considered apprenticeship or actual work experience.
 
In my view it is regarded as apprenticeship, unless you partook in a non-ACGME accredited fellowship in which you were required to obtain a non-restricted state medical license, granted a clinical instructorship (if academic setting) or hospital/lab privileges/credentials, and signed out cases solely under your name/NPI.
