Approach to asking for help.

What is your approach to asking clinical faculty for assistance in various procedures from LA to crown preps. ...while still maintaining their/your own confidence. I feel like they expect you to know everything and I feel weird about asking for assistance.

The faculty are there to help you and teach you not to criticize you. If you knew everything you would have a license already and not need them to sign off your preps. Remember that. Just be honest i.e. Dr. I did everything but the patient is not getting numb could you help me out? ....Dr. I've done my prep but can't seem to get the DL margin, could you show me your technique? Just ask, don't be afraid to act like a student while you are one.
