My AMCAS application will be verified and sent out next week, and I was wondering, given my MCAT (12 VR, 11 PS, and 10 BS) and GPA, which schools I should add to my application. Currently, my application includes Miami, UC San Diego, Minnesota-Minneapolis, Wisconsin-Madison, and Brown. Let me know what you all think, thanks.

Your MCAT score is slight above avg, and UCSD is highly competetive, so scratch that (and the other UCs). Brown favors their own UGs. Are you from IA? If so, add U IA. if not, then the public school in yourh ome state (if any), and those next door.

I'd add Pitt, Einstein, BU, Tufts, tulane, all of the Chicago schols except U C, UIC and NW; Creighton, Wake-Forest, Duke, Both of the Georges in DC, all the Philly schools (except Penn), NYMC, Albany, Mt Sinai, and all VA schools. Oh yeah, and ALL new MD programs.

I've got to ask. What school are you going to? I went to Cornell College in Iowa, have very similar stats, and am applying this cycle as well! Funny small world.

Anyways, I'd listen to Goro. His list of schools sounds very good.

Thanks for the help Goro. I've also been looking at Dartmouth, they seem to be friendly to OOS students. What do you think?
