So I just stumbled across this cool opportunity to apply for and just found out it could double as a field experience to meet one of the requirements for my graduate degree. Problem is that it fit best in my schedule this spring so that I can start potentially start work on my master's project this summer. Basically that meant I had to find people to write rec. letters with only two weeks notice before the deadline.
I felt really guilty even asking, but a prof. volunteered to help me out despite the short notice and I'm extra grateful since I would have had to pass on this opp. otherwise. I was wondering if you think it would be ok to put a $10 dollar Starbucks gift car or something in the thank you note I'll be sending or is that not quite appropriate?
