An average isn't simply the mean of the high and low end of a set of data

I suggest you re-take statistics

I think he just meant it as a joke...you're being too serious here.

Just being a little facetious. My bad.

Edit: being facetious because theres no real answer to your question.

The Heisenberg Uncertainty principle clearly states that since we know the location of the medical school in space, we cannot determine the velocity with which they reach final decisions. Gen Chem 101 here people...

The principle is actually all candidates are in a state of accepted or rejected until they open their inbox.

A friend mentioned a school he interviewed at literally gave you your admissions decision before you left your interview day that afternoon. When you left the interview room the interviewer had to give their decision to the ADCOM on the spot.

At my interview day at my state school, they said they hope to get it done in 8-10 weeks. (no other II yet so no other data).

The reason I mentioned hume was because he makes an argument along the lines of the past cannot be used to predict the future:
"“As to past experience, it can be allowed to give direct and certain information of those precise objects only, and that precise period of time, which fell under its cognizance: but why this experience should be extended to future times, and to other objects ...this is the main question on which I would insist. The bread, which I formerly eat, nourished me; that is, a body of such sensible qualities was, at that time, endued with such secret powers: but does it follow, that other bread must also nourish me at another time, and that like sensible qualities must always be attended with like secret powers? The consequence seems no wise necessary.”"

Sounds like an idiot

David Hume is perhaps one of the founders of scientific thought or method. while he believed and wrote much on the psychology of human behavior being from passion rather than rational thought, he was an empiricist always noting that human knowledge only comes from experience and observation.

In other words, virtually every part of science you have learned in college has been influenced by him.

you would have to be an idiot or ignorant on having gone thru college without knowing that

Indeed. I taught this in my high school chemistry class as well.

OP to answer your question: Depends on the school. Most schools tell you at your interview day when you can expect to hear back.
