Submitted my app this morning and already got my first rejection. Syracuse.

You appear to have done that with this one!

However, feel free to start a thread (you or someone else) that says "Interview acceptances/rejections for 2009-2010" or something like that.

I applied to a lot because I'm an IMG that barely passed step 1 and failed step 2. So I feel I don't have much of a choice but to apply broad. I know people in my situation usually just forget what they really want to do and end up applying to something like family, but I really wants peds.

Well good luck. If it makes you feel any better I am in a similar situation. (look at the "questions to those who recently matched" thread.) I've gotten two interview invites so far.

I was wondering... does anyone know how bad it would be wait to turn in the ERAS application. Now vs a week from now? would it make a difference? I want to work on my personal statement a little more, but I am worried that it would affect my chance of getting into my residency program. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think it is a huge deal, but don't wait any longer than you have to. Some programs are already giving interviews.
