but look at it this way, the amount you pay for app fees is almost nothing compared to tuition. just an investment in yourself 😀

haha, that is definitely true! =) i luckily found on my credit card that I can get a 0% apr for a year! 😛 yess!! 😎

not to mention, might as well investing into applying a one-time fee... you don't want to skimp on applying to schools due to money alone (not to say apply to 50 schools.... I mean more like 8-10 instead of 1-3), and find out you have to apply again because you didn't get in/didn't get into your choice school. Then you gotta pay the application fees AGAIN.....
