Just wanted to know anyone's opinions about the Spring vs Fall Oral exams. One harder than the other? Smaller crowd?

I'm not sure if I was lucky or not....got the September date. I definitely wanted the April one! Oh well....

There's really no difference when you take it. Although they tend to repeat the same cases from spring to fall.

But the orals are so stressful, you forget that your friends may have had the same case in the spring. Also remember just because it's the same case, the introp and post op management questions may or could be different.

My friend took the Spring 2005 orals (I was supposed to take it in April 2005 also but my father died during that time and the ABA was kind enough to let me change my oral exam date to the fall 2005). Yes the ABA will let you make changes to exam dates for valid reasons.

But anyways, my 2 stem questions from the Fall 2005 were the exact same stem as my friend's stem from April 2005.

So ask your friends what type of cases they got asked. I know it's not appropriate to post stem questions in a public discussion board and won't. But the ABA tends to repeat a lot of stem questions from Spring to Fall. How you are asked to answer them could be a different ballgame in itself.
