Are 60s in certain sections necessarily bad?

I noticed a lot of people (including myself) are beating themselves up for getting high 50s/60s in certain sections. Does it really matter if one or two section is in the 60s but the rest are good and give a 90+ composite? I personally dont see the problem in it, I mean it doesnt exactly indicate we are incompetent does it? Basically I want to know if it matters to the schools. There arent any schools that reject individual sections under 50/60/70 or some standard are there?

Creighton made me an alternate because I had a 49 in chem in October, even though all my others scores were in the upper 80s and 90s (mostly 90s) with a composite of 91. They'll probably reject me now with my new January scores. 🙁 By the way, I also have As in all my chem classes.

60s are no problem. There are some schools that cutt off at 50% on each section but higher than that is no problem.

Thanks for clearing that up. Glad to have input from people who have experience with these kind of things.
