Are AMCAS Adcoms Able to See a Previous AACOMAS application?

If a student applied last year with AMCAS, MD adcoms this year would be able to see that the student had applied last year. Does the same go for AACOMAS? Or are these systems different enough that there is no intercommunication between them?

Would an MD adcom see if a student applied to DO schools through AACOMAS last year?

AACOMAS and AMCAS have no communication. MD adcoms may perhaps ask if you applied to DO schools during your interview and that's the only way they'd know.
