Are kaplan notes better than other books for step?

I heard a lot of good appraisement for kaplan notes and also a lot of better praise for other bookes,such as BRE,H-Y,Lippincott et al.

so I am puzzled by these two kind of opinion.

Ie there some one to be so nice to tell me if kaplan notes is better than other books for step1?

i think they're a mess. and most are unnecessarily fat/thick.

Yes they are thick and fat but they have all and bit more then what you need for step 1. Out of all I would say the Biochemistry and Pharmocology books are the best! Physio is good but honestly its a bit much and you can get adequate info from BRS phys on that. Kaplan Path sucks big time and so does kaplan Anatomy(latter is way too detailed).Ofcourse these are my opinions and some may disagree but thats how I feel.
