Considering going down the medical route in a few years after a post-bacc, but my degree is in Stage Management and in history. All that aside, I have a research paper that I wrote (potentially) about to be published in a small journal. It's historical research that mainly focuses on social consciousness of racism in America in 1949 through the lens of a Broadway production.
I know it's far flung from the scientific research a lot of applicants are up to, but the question remains, are medical schools at all interested in a student being published if the publication is humanities based?

While the paper may not provide an enchanted evening, I wouldnt quite wash its value out of the applicant’s quite completely. What of we got? Well we aint got science research but we do have a publication, which only 25% have ANY pub, presentation, or poster. It is still worth an EC and can add value as part of any diversity essay.

Yeah definitely list it. Most people didn’t care about my math pubs and my pub on immigration law, but they occasionally made for talking points. I seriously doubt they had very much impact though.
