Are MMI interviews usually “blind”?

Im thinking that they likely are because don’t they sometimes use med students as well?

maybe Im overthinking, but it seems like it would be too risky to have an applicant’s detailed info/transcripts/mcat scores in the hands of every MMI person.

Yeah. They're all situational, 8 or so minutes per station. Enough time to see how you react to a hypothetical scenario, but not enough to grill your history. Also, they're supposed to be blinded for objectivity. I had one MMI that had a double length, 20 minute station for an open note "traditional" interview mixed in with the MMI stations, but we knew about this in advance and it was with an ADCOM faculty.

Most interviews I attended on the interview trail were blind.

Often, a school would give one interview that was blind and one that was not.

The traditional portion was not blind. You can expect an unblind segment at most, if not all interviews
