Are most DO classes (Fall 2016) filled already?

So I've been reading in the allopathic forum that more than half of seats for most classes have been given out already for allopathic schools for the entering class of Fall 2016.

Are osteopathic schools in the same boat? Are most seats "given out" already?
I know BCOM has but... how about everyone else?

Most places only have given out about a quarter of their seats in the DO world. Don't worry, because lots of these accepted applicants are choosing which schools to go to. I myself have multiple acceptances and have to only choose one.

So stop worrying, and lots of accepted applicants in the DO schools also have acceptances in MD schools, so one of the reasons why DO application cycle is longer is because most applicants would prefer MD over DO, and use DO as a backup plan. Also, lots of applicants who are MD rejects are starting to apply for DO schools too, and DO schools get a lot of applicants to sift through.

It depends. I would say that a large portion of people that get a med school acceptance are actually getting multiple acceptances. Schools generally give out about 2 times as many acceptances as there are seats available because people choose to attend other schools. Obviously not everyone that gets accepted actually ends up going to that school. So even if a school has given out offers for half of the available seats so far, a lot of those seats are still open because people are exploring their other options.

If this is a roundabout way to ask if you still have a shot for this cycle, I would definitely say yes, as it is still relatively early.

Many DO schools will have many students accepting their seats. That being said so many will end up rejecting them that they will need to continue having more students apply to fill up the seats.

Honestly though if you've sent a primary by now it might be worth waiting till June. It's not that you don't have a shot, it's just honestly a chances thing and reapplying is always a pain.
