Your cumulative GPA is a little low, but not too bad.
Same with GRE, overall it is a little low, but not too bad (IMO Verbal is fine, your Quant is bad, and AW is fine..)

If I were you, I would calculate my pre-req GPA. If its 3.6 or greater, you will get in to some PT programs.

Look up the averages for your desired programs for a better feel of where you stand.

All depends where you apply ..Touro Nevada your solid UNC grim chance

Yup. All depends where you apply. Your quantitative score is a bit low but I got in schools with a low GRE score and cumGPA.

Pubicsymphysis, where did you apply and where are you currently attending?

You're on the border. If you interview well, get some good LORs, and keep volunteering, I think you'll have a chance somewhere. If you don't get accepted, then you'll know what to improve.

Kevin

well im applying to places in florida cause i dont want to deal with the out of state tuition. So places like FGCU, FIU, USF, NOVA, UNF, UF and UM.

A school like nova is private so you will still be paying the big bucks like the out-of-staters. There are a handful of out of state public and private schools that are a little cheaper than that one at least. I think you're good on the other ones though

yea i figured that but in terms of how hard it is to get into those schools based on what I have...i figure is alittle more doable. Of course UM and UF are a different story. What do you guys think

Yeah and nova isn't actually that outrageous price-wise. The fact that you are applying to all state schools too should give you at least an initial advantage over a lot of applicants. Your observations are really good and your other numbers arent too bad. There is so much that goes into applying that you could win over some schools in the interview or with LOR's, etc

yea im hoping my LOR's will help considering im getting them from alumni's of some of the schools and part time instructors....but i guess ill just have to wait and see

Well I can tell you if your applying I'm Florida that UM has a min GRE requirement of 149V 147Q if you don't meet this you are autatticalky

guess that takes that one out...hopefully the others work out

so i just calculated my pre-requisite GPA and they came out to a 3.5-3.6....so hopefully that strengthens my chances.

Don't worry buddy you will get into a school this semester. Your not the most qualified applicant but your far from the worst. Good luck

This cycle*...lol wow I think all these supplemental essays has me scatterbrained

Definitely. Your sitting pretty good (especially if you get great LoRs and reeeally take your time on your application essays). Your essays are kinda like your 'pre-interview' and in some cases your essays ARE your interview. So really nail those...

Like everyone has been saying, your Quant. GRE is pretty low. Research the schools your going to apply to and find out what their minimum score is. If it is under the minimum, like Alex said, your automatically disqualified. PTCAS most of the time will state the schools minimum but sometimes it won't. If it doesn't show up, don't be afraid to email all your schools. Here are the key questions you need to ask your schools:

1. What is the minimum required score to even apply (If it is 145 or lower, skip 2 and 3).
2. What are your policies for retaking the GRE.
3. Out of all my attempts, which scores do you take: 1st Attempt? 2nd Attempt? Best scores from each category? Average of both attempts?

Each school is different when it comes to the GRE. And obviously you will do anything to get into PT school, including retaking the GRE to raise that quant score if you need to, right??? ;-) If not, you shouldn't be applying. (Not to sound harsh!) But seriously, your interested in 7 schools. One is already kind of iffy because of tuition costs and one your already disqualified from. If you find out that your GRE doesn't meet the requirements for at least another school or two, I would suggest that retake that dang exam. But if you do, ask ALL schools questions 2 and 3 before doing so...

Sidenote: Alex, I know how you feel with those essays...My school required us to write 7 essays, 4 of which had to be 4500 characters. They considered it their 'interview' pretty much...One of the essays was kinda fun to write though. They gave us a long detailed story along the lines of "One of your professors was in the hospital for surgery. Your best friend saw the charts of that professor and posted about his condition on facebook. What would you do?" Needless to say, I had to be willing "back stab my best friend" to get into PT school I am afraid...hahahaha :meanie:
