so i just calculated my pre-requisite GPA and they came out to a 3.5-3.6....so hopefully that strengthens my chances.
Definitely. Your sitting pretty good (especially if you get great LoRs and reeeally take your time on your application essays). Your essays are kinda like your 'pre-interview' and in some cases your essays ARE your interview. So really nail those...
Like everyone has been saying, your Quant. GRE is pretty low. Research the schools your going to apply to and find out what their minimum score is. If it is under the minimum, like Alex said, your automatically disqualified. PTCAS most of the time will state the schools minimum but sometimes it won't. If it doesn't show up, don't be afraid to email all your schools. Here are the key questions you need to ask your schools:
1. What is the minimum required score to even apply (If it is 145 or lower, skip 2 and 3).
2. What are your policies for retaking the GRE.
3. Out of all my attempts, which scores do you take: 1st Attempt? 2nd Attempt? Best scores from each category? Average of both attempts?
Each school is different when it comes to the GRE. And obviously you will do anything to get into PT school, including retaking the GRE to raise that quant score if you need to, right??? ;-) If not, you shouldn't be applying. (Not to sound harsh!

) But seriously, your interested in 7 schools. One is already kind of iffy because of tuition costs and one your already disqualified from. If you find out that your GRE doesn't meet the requirements for at least another school or two, I would suggest that retake that dang exam. But if you do, ask ALL schools questions 2 and 3 before doing so...
Sidenote: Alex, I know how you feel with those essays...My school required us to write 7 essays, 4 of which had to be 4500 characters. They considered it their 'interview' pretty much...One of the essays was kinda fun to write though. They gave us a long detailed story along the lines of "One of your professors was in the hospital for surgery. Your best friend saw the charts of that professor and posted about his condition on facebook. What would you do?" Needless to say, I had to be willing "back stab my best friend" to get into PT school I am afraid...hahahaha
