So next semester I will be taking
Bio 3 (requirement for all bio majors, focuses on population genetics, introductory ecology, etc.)
Organic Chem. 1
Physics 1
Bioethics
16 credit hours
this is only 16 hours and my average is usually around 18. I am doing this to be able to focus on organic and physics, both of which are gpa killers at my school (and I am pretty sure everywhere else too lol). I believe that the lower credit hours will also allow me to retain the info better for the MCAT which is a year and a half away for me. Will this stand out on a med school application?
I honestly don't feel as if I could fit another class in, with 3 labs and classes its putting me there from 9-5 almost every day. I also plan to get in some more volunteering and shadowing. I will also be working on a research project and the publication along with that, and another project with my PI that involves the CRISPR/CAS-9 system.
I feel like I have a full plate, but will medical schools see that?
Thanks!
