My upcoming quarter schedule will consist of OChem I, Ochem I Lab, Physics 1, and Physics 1 Lab. For my extracurriculars, I'm volunteering at a research lab (on campus) and writing for my school newspaper group. I'm concerned about my schedule being overloaded for a student taking Ochem.

Should I drop an extracurricular or is my schedule fine & dandy?

Junior year I had over 5 EC going on and still managed to get good grades, so I think it is not only doable, but VERY doable

You should be fine then. Orgo is hard but so long as you put in the study time, you should be fine. Physics 1 was pretty breezy.

What other courses are you doing? My Sophomore son is taking same courses plus 2 non-science course. He has more ECs (he is the main person for 2 of them) + research and thinks he will be fine.
