Hey guys I just got a score of Feb Canadian DAT and here are my scores.

My overall GPA is 3.7 and Science GPA is 3.65

RC 19
BIO 20
CHEM 19
TS 20
AA 19
PAT 19
Carving 28 (Canadian DAT has no QR and OC, but they have carving)

I'm not really happy with PAT...I used to get 21~23 on Crack PAT, but I don't know why the hell I got 19 on real one...

There is not much I can do with RC I guess..I thought RC was really easy, Most people got 22~24, but well, English is my 2nd language..

My real concern is the PAT score. Do you think my chance is low because of PAT 19?
I'm applying to US dental schools.

Can anyone share their experiences? Is there anyone who applied 2009 cycle with PAT 19??

thanks

That looks pretty good. I was accepted at the University of Minnesota (only 8 hours from Canada!! 🙂) with nearly the same stats. My PAT was 21 but I had a couple 18's to counter that.

Canadian DAT is now way harder than American one, especially bio section. For example, my bio score (20) was 96%, which means I was one of the top 4%. And my TS(20) was 98%. To get 98% on American DAT, you normally have to get 23~24.

But I heard that American schools don't even care about percentiles. If that's true, then they will think of my total science just as an average score.

and yeah..I know..my PAT 19 is just not exactly what I expected...I'm seriously considering about writing American one again, but I'm so exhausted and don't want to take any more DAT...

Should I write American DAT anyway? or just try upcoming cycle with these scores and see what happens first??
