Are the AAMC tests worth the cost?

Yep, they're a bit pricey but invaluable for gauging where you stand and what you should work on.

are all of them worth buying or just a select few

Honestly the older ones are outdated. I took 3,4,5,7 and they were not like the MCAT nowadays. SN2 ranks these low, If you view his 3 month study plan. I haven't taken 8,9,10,11 but hopefully they are more representative of the real thing.

Yes. Without a doubt. Much better preparation than anything you get elsewhere. You're answering questions that may have been on the actual test at some point rather than something people at a test prep center made up.

If you have the money you should really try and do all of them. The later ones are more useful for score prediction, but the more times you can emulate the test experience and go through complete exams, the more prepared you'll be on test day.

Undoubtably yes. Put more focus on the later ones, but having the early numbers is good for confidence boosting.

For those of you who know the AAMC tests well, which ones are the most difficult and predicitve? I took 3,4,5,7 before my last MCAT, and my average on those was wayyy higher than my actual MCAT. I have never taken 8,9,10,11. How do they compare??

The average of tests 8-11 is a pretty good predictor of your score.

Average on the low ones for me was 35+.

Average on later ones was a 33.

I got a 32. I just had a bad test. My average biology score pretest was a 13.5 and I only got a 10 on the real thing.

Dude I know! WTH did the bio section become so hard? I have never scored below 10 on any AMMC or real MCAT bio ever, but on on sept 2012 test bio= 6??????? WTF😡
