Hi,

I'm Canadian but studied in an American dental school and graduated in 2016. I successfully passed both NERB (or CDCA) and Canadian boards. Also, passed both Part 1 and Part 2.

I've been practicing in Canada since graduation, and I was wondering if I decide to move to the States in the future, would the CDCA exam need to be retaken or is it valid for life?

Thanks

It's state dependent because they are the ones giving the actual license, but I believe most hold it valid for 5 years. But yeah, state-dependent.

The CDCA are not the most honest people though. Any other test would be a better idea.

Can you give examples of which states say its only valid for 5 years? I thought it was valid for life......
We have to take the whole exam over again if we decide to move 6 years from now?

Have you not looked at licensing requirements at all? Go look at the laws for the states you want to practice in.
