Are these good post bacc programs?

There's a girl in my class who did the UVM postbac program. She got in and hasn't dropped out yet, so it must not totally suck.

UVA's program is really new -- not sure they've set up a reputation yet.
Having taken science courses at U Miami when I was in undergrad there, I wouldn't recommend it (postbacs are in undergrad classes), but I don't know what their postbac advising is like.

UConn is great if you are a CT resident.
Last year they had 250+ apps for apparently 10-15 places.

I posted a similar question a few weeks back, and remember someone telling me UConn mostly takes in-state applicants to that program. I plan to start at Miami this summer. I've met with the pre-med adviser, Eva Alonso, and she seemed really nice. You'd be taking Chem 1 and 2 this summer, with Bio 1, Physics 1, and Orgo 1 in the Fall and part 2 to each course in the Spring.
The courses ARE mixed in with the undergrads... which could actually play to your (well, actually, "our") favor, since 18 and 19 year olds in this beautiful weather might slack and skip class to go to the beach (or recover from the busy frat party scene on the campus haha). At least, I'm hoping that's the case! Anyway, if you do decide to go there, lemme know! Private Message me if you want to talk about the program a bit more 😀

I also applied to Miami... spoke with Ms. Alonso over the phone... I live in PA though so I'm not sure if I will end up there for postbac.. I really loved so much about the program - specifically the volunteer opportunities and the personalized postbac advising. Cost is an issue, however... so I'm still on the fence. It sounds like an excellent program though. It's high on my places of interest for med school too, so if I don't attend for post bac I am def applying for med school! (good luck to me as an OOS, I know.. but no harm in trying!)

I was just researching U of Miami again today. It does look like a great program - aside from someone in a prior thread saying that their undergrad science classes there were not ideal. I am hesitant to apply to a school so far away - for cost reasons.
