Hello everyone. I'm an accepted student starting med school next Monday. I was recently gifted some study materials by a friend of my mother who recently finished his residency. I'm assuming these are out of date/not super useful any more, but since they were free I figured I'd ask what y'all's thoughts on them were. Thanks! IMG_4461.JPG IMG_4460.JPG IMG_4462.JPG

Netters will always be useful. Anatomy hasn't, and won't change enough to make them obsolete. Pharm may or may not be useful. The 'classic' examples of drugs will still be relevant, as it's usually the first of the class that is used as the example for MOA and questions about the side effects of that drug still show up on boards. The current treatment of choice may be different though, and there are much better resources for that aspect of pharm than flashcards (like Uptodate).

I really liked the netters cards in first year

The microcards is outdated. The most recent addition has more cards, albeit I think Microcards is a decent resource. netters isn't the most recent, but that doesn't matter. The real thing is you don't really need flashcards with so much info on them for anatomy. Just use the atlas. Not sure about the pharm cards. I'm going to be honest, 90% of the sales that occur on FB pages are rip-offs but no one comments because all it does it give them an unneeded enemy. Students are just looking to make some quick money.
