I have always hated to read. My learning style is almost exclusively visual, but I am also a strong auditory learner. In medical school there are plenty of resources that accomodate for this like boards and beyond, pathoma, and sketchy. You are mostly relying on these resoucres rather than specialty specific textbooks. In residency I have found it is much harder as these types of resources just don't exist. I stumbled upon speechify and it really has been a game changer for me. I just can't stay focused when trying to read these dense text books. Well speechify is software that reads out loud for you and highlights the text. I have found it is easier for me to stay focused while listening and simultaenously reading the highlighted text (Speechify highlights the text as it reads it). There are like 200 different voices to choose from and although most of them are pretty bad, some are actually pretty good. I have no partnership or incentive to promote speechify other than wanting to help those in similar situations to me due to different learning styles. So if you are primarily a visual/auditory learner then I would highly recommend checking out speechify. It has really helped me.

It doesn't have issues with technical jargon?
