Are TOMS shoes good for standing all day?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
do they look like they are any good for standing in?

Compare the look to dansko's or keens which people (including myself) say are comfortable for long period of standing

I've never seen them in person nor have I worn them, so my opinion probably doesn't mean much. However, since you asked - they certainly don't look like they provide much support, although all the reviews say they are super comfy. I have super comfy shoes that still kill my feet if I'm standing in them all day because they aren't supportive.

I also don't think they look very dressy and it may depend on the specific requirements of the hospital where you are (considering how many people wear Crocs in hospitals!).

$44 isn't a fortune though, especially if they turn out to be awesome shoes.

I wish I had a good solution for you - I still find my Skechers with good insoles or my Doc Marten's work best for me when I'm on my feet all day. I have short (5.5), extra wide feet - not a good combo for finding comfy shoes.

They don't look that comfy. I like Clarks, Borns, Soffts - Danskos are ok too. Shoes are not something I skimp on now. I love 6pm.com - they have really good deals on there.

Tom's don't look they have enough cushioning in the sole, but I've never worn them so I can't say for sure. As far as being professional enough, it totally depends on the location, but it's pushing it as far as I am concerned.

I love my toms and they are super comfy...but as like a slide on shoe/just hanging around shoe. I couldnt imagine standing in them all day. I recommend all the brands mentioned here..plus Aerosoles. They sell them at Kohls and I've found good pairs on clearance at DSW.
