Really?

I came across this product at one of my facilities. It's just a pressurized spray can!!!!!! We used to use this years ago for sports injury...now to clean keyboards and laptops..etc.

They're using it as a local anesthetic because it numbs the area because it gets so cold....then the nurses can do different types of venipuncture!!!

No drugs...just cold spray!!

At my old hospital they used it in OB for episiotomies. ewwwwww. But cheaper that EMLA or LMX - maybe we should just have cans of compressed air around!

i heard you can also use a pack of ice

Aww man, I knew it was too good to be true.

Sure you will.. You will beg for the Demerol like everybody else....

Nope nope nope. I'm absolutely determined! My mom did it with the 3 of us. My grandmothers did it...I don't see why I get to miss out. 😛

In any case, I've experienced plenty of phyisical pain...I have a feeling labor will be a breeze in comparison!

I personally get the feeling that the kid is better off if you suffer less. Having seen this twice and almost having a liverectomy by turning my back on a woman in labor, I suggest you wait until the time comes.

Ah...I see. Into the S&M thing? It's all starting to make sense now. I can see why its hard for you to find a man. That delicate balance of "leather-clad torture master" and "potential father figure" doesn't just pop up every day.

LOL...try 6" wound having to be packed and debrided bid for weeks every summer and winter break...five times over 2 1/2 years. This was during undergrad.

you're lucky it wasn't a weinerectomy. I wouldn't be so kind.

Well my back was to my wife so that was out. But she grabbed a hold of my side and I thought I was going to have organ removal w/o anesthesia.

Drugs all the way...no one needs to be a hero here.
