I was just curious for those who are or will be attending AZCOM, how do you deal with the heat? To me that is the BIGGEST drawback to the school, and frankly could be a deciding reason why I won't go there. Thanks for your input 😀

I live in AZ, and I have to tell you its HOT! When I moved here I had hard time adjusting, (it might have been hard for me to adjust from many other reasons not only heat. i.e moving from EU straight to desert).
However, you don't feel the heat because the air is dry, and air conditioning is everywhere, and really, the heat is only from about June to August. How we deal with it: pool and a lot of cold beer. 😀 jk
The rest of the time its really nice. Imagine having 360 days of sun, no snow, no rain( it rains during monsoons and thats it), its is so good. I love now AZ mostly because of the climate itself. Also, everything is close by. During summer if u want beach you can be in Cali in less then 6 hrs of driving, and during winter if u want snow there are places for skiinig 2-3 hrs away. Its great.

But hey you should really turn down AZCOM becasue of the heat, maybe they will take me in instead. jk.

I'm going to AZCOM after living in Alaska for six years. I never thought I was a heat person (it's about -10 right now here) but I'm really excited. The school is just awesome. You can swim all year round! After being in the sub-arctic for so long, I'm going to relish my four years in Phoenix. It'll be rough at times but it BUILDS CHARACTER! 🙂

man i love eating cold bear. lol j/k

 Whats even worse I saw your reply and I did not get it untill I saw bear in bold. I thought it had something to do with previous person living in Alaska.

I have lived in AZ for a little over 3 years after living in Michigan for 18 years. It's really not that hot, I would definitely not consider it a drawback. If you can make it through 3 months of the heat, where you just stay inside during the middle of the day, you get another 9 months of amazing, sunny, perfect weather. Even in the summer though, you get monsoons mid-afternoon, and it cools it down a bit. The nights in the summer are the time to go out, the weather is just right.
