Does anyone know anything about the Arizona School? I am pondering applying there. I have a 3.2 gpa and was an Exercise Science major in college and I took the DAT not the MCAT. Do they take the DAT? Do they have a good reputation, good facilities? Also while on the subject of DAT, does the Ohio school take DAT scores? Whatever you all can give me would be great. Thanks.

As far as I know they do not take the DAT. They are the new kid on the block so the facilities should be nice and the reputation is solid even though they are new.
I do not know about OCPM and the DAT. Most schools are moving away from accepting the DAT.

in my interview invite from OCPM, they said they would like to interview me but warned that i needed to submit satisfactory MCAT/GRE scores before matriculation. i don't know if that means they are no longer accepting the DAT, or if they want to see me take the MCAT on an individual basis. ill fill you in after my interview next week!!

As posted in other areas the MCAT should be and will be universal b/c it allows the admissions staff to evaluate everyone w/ the same tool.

I have a feeling they are really reviewing everyone's apps. I dont think they are just going to send interviews to everyone, just a select few since they still only have a few seats and can be pickier. Only thing bad is that everyone interviewing now and gets accepted has deadlines to say yes/no. I figured that by now they should be doing something at least.😕
I think you should always accept an offer so you have somewhere to go if you don't have more appealing offers come your way. Yes... you may lose some money, but in reality, even $1000 isn't going to be much compared to the $100,000 or more of debt most students have upon graduation. However, accept an offer and then if you have one come along which is more appealing take that one.
Remember, the money you put down on the school you actually attend will be reimbursed as a tuition payment.

Woohooo well guys i just checked my email and i just got an interview invite from Arizona i'm soo excited. Getting interview invites is the best feeling. Weird thing is that they sent the invite at 10pm does that mean their up till now or is it automated to send at 10pm. Oh well still excited good luck to you all.

Hellll yeaa! Got one too! Damn and I got my interview at CSPM in 7 hrs!! More anxiety for me. Have you picked what date you're doing your interview? My choices are Oct 24, Nov 7 or Nov 8. Think it would be a bad idea if I did Nov 8 since i also have:

Yea i know its hard for me to pick a date also i have labs everyday and its a pain to keep missing it. Its definitely gonna be a november date. I gotta figure out my schedule.

I have interviews at AZPOD too. I'm thinking I can't miss any more school so I'll have to wait until January to go visit them. I'm really keeping it open because if I get into Scholl or DMU they are my top choices.😀

i got the azpod invite too. i sent dat scores, but not mcat scores yet. (i havent seen my mcat scores yet-i took it august 19th). i got barry and ocpm too. im pretty pumped.

Basically, they just look to see if your cGPA, test scores (they'll probably hold out to before making the final decision until your MCAT scores come in), and all of the other stuff in the package would qualify you as a more competitive applicant. The exact numbers I don't know, but there were about 10 applicants per 1 spot last year, so congratulations on the interview invite!
