Yes! I found out today that I am on the wait list as well.

Waitlisted also, what're ya'lls points? I'm sitting at about 74-78 depending on what classes they take.

Cool! I'm like excited and bummed, they're one of my top picks....

Are they a top pick for you?

No, they aren't my top choice. I prefer to pick a school that is closer on the West Coast which is where I live. But, if Arkansas is the only school I get accepted to I will probably go there. Do you know if this school is accredited?

I didn't calculate my points. I don't like to think about it too much because it stresses me out. I'll just wait if Arkansas will offer a spot. There isn't much we can do at this point but wait.

Yes A-State is accredited

I also didn't calculate my points lol I was too distracted by the fact that I got WAITLISTED somewhere, they are the only school I've heard back from.

Ya I applied very late in the cycle (late January). What other schools did you apply to?

University of North Texas
Clarkson University
American International College
And Thomas Jefferson University.

I was told I applied late as well, PTCAS verrified my application in December.

My application was verified in January. I waited in the cycle to apply so all my prerequisite classes with A's would be included in my gpa. Without those A's I wouldn't have had a cumulative gpa of 3.0. And I was also studying for the GRE. I would have applied to Thomas Jefferson, but I applied last year and didn't get in, most likely because my gpa wasn't high enough and I'm sure other factors as well. Did you receive any word from the other schools you applied to?

Wingate University
American International College
Azusa Pacific University
Long Island University (rejected)
University of St. Augustine (Still working on application)
Campbell University (Still working on application)

No Arkansas is the only school I've heard from. I'm going to assume I got rejected from Thomas Jefferson because a lot of people on the forum have either been accepted or WAITLISTED and I haven't heard a peep LOL.

I want to apply to St. Augustine but I can't wrap my head around their tuition

Lol. I saw that you applied to American International College. I read on their brochure that they are at least 50,000 per year. If you're willing to apply to American International College, you mind as well apply to University of St. Augustine which is 2.3 years compared to American International College whose DPT program is 3 years.

Yeah but AIC gives aid, from what I hear St. Augustine gives you nothing. I want to graduate with the least amount of debt lol

I got waitlisted too, but I didnt even turn in my suplemental application.

To be honest with you financial aid was not something I was researching when applying to a PT school. I'll be going into debt regardless. I just want to make sure I get accepted into a PT school and receive a good education to prepare me for my career. Don't get me wrong though, I think financial aid is an important factor. But, if the tuition for the DPT program is about 150,000, how much is AIC really going to help you out? Are you talking about getting a loan through the school or AIC providing scholarship? Please educate me if you know because I don't know too much about how financial aid works with AIC?

Aid typically depends on your income taxes. People received between 8-15 thousand dollars a semester. It's not a loan. All schools are different I don't know the particulars, but any amount helps. All debt is not created equal lol

I got waitlisted as well and did not complete the supplemental application either. Odd!

So none of ya'll calculated your points? I really wanna know my chances of getting in.

You can't really determine your chances of getting in until you're assigned a wait list number. It seems like Arkansas State has already offered positions to people. Its just a matter if people actually accept the offer or even respond to the e-mail in time. The e-mail even stated that Arkansas State will be offering spots up until the first day of class, which is crazy. So the next question you should ask yourself is, if you found out you were offered a spot 2 days before class started, would you go? Factors such as distance, money, time, etc. are obviously all factors that should be considered.

Have any of you guys researched Arkansas State University? Is it a descent DPT program? I read somewhere on a forum from a current DPT student that the director is very unorganized and that other faculty left because of that. I'll try to find the link where I read that. Any information you guys about Arkansas State's DPT program would be very helpful.

Starting to feel like they didn't reject anyone they just threw everyone on the wait list

Its a good program, great graduation rate and licensure pass rates. I haven't heard anything negative

I was put on the alternate list..and this is many weeks after I withdrew my application from the pool -.-

I got accepted, but will not be accepting my spot. So someone on the waitlist will be moving on up! Because they sent out notifications so late, I think a lot people have already accepted at other places and will be declining, so don't give up hope!

Where will you be going instead??

Where will you be going instead??

I will be attending NAU. I'm from Arizona, so it was the best choice for me. But I'm totally with you fitchick26, finances was a huge consideration of mine when I was applying. Arkansas State is a great deal with the in-state tuition for all the PT students!

Sounds like there a lot of people on the wait list LOL!

I am also placed on the wait list...

Any new news? Saw on Facebook that someone received a letter of acceptance Monday and had till yesterday to respond. Thought more might go out today but haven't heard anything yet.

Maybe they only send them in Monday's?

FINALLY! I've been looking for this conversation everywhere in the Internet!!
This really gives me hope...my friend and I were also put on the wait list...hopefully a lot of people turned down a seat!!

Yeah that's how I felt, then I was like, let me make a post, and boom instantly felt the anxiety lessen. But I will say my hope isn't high because it seems like a lot of people are on the waiting list and also people who withdrew there application or did not submit their supplemental application were also put on the waitlist, seems fishy....

BUT, I'm with you I hope everyone declines, and we all get in!! LOL

Just received an email this morning offering me a spot! I will be a Red Wolf come this August. Good luck to the rest of you on wait lists. I know it is stressful.
