Army AEGD 1/2 Application

Is anyone able to post a copy of what the application looks like? I’d like to see what they’re looking for/be able to better prepare for the application cycle.

As an aside: I’m assuming we need letters of recommendation. Can I collect and upload these myself or will I need to wait until the time of application to ask for the letters?

Currently I’d recommend against doing it. Other than a couple implant placement and planning them, it has been more dental school nonsense.

1 year. I don’t care what anyone says, a 2 year AEGD is extremely pointless. Unless you want to do career military and do as little dentistry as possible, specialize in a real specialty, moonlight as soon as you get out of residency, and then separate from the military ASAP. Unless the culture of the military changes, it is not the place for highly motivated producer type dentists.

I will add this. I will probably leave the Army as a Major. The American public puts an immense amount of respect on that and serving our military. It will only help me from here on out in job opportunities and running for public office. It isn’t all negative.
