When students on Army HPSP graduate and get assigned to Germany or Korea, how long are they there for?

I am assuming the foreign assignment lengths are shorter than the assignments to domestic Army bases.
Are dentists in Germany or Korea for 1-2 years?

So over a 4 year payback (excluding residency considerations), can graduates expect to have 2-3 location assignments?

Germany - typically 2-3. Korea - could be 1-3 depending on a few factors.

A normal Army PCS cycle is 3 years. You can often opt to stay somewhere longer if you want. This could mean you have only 1 duty station during 4 years or if you do something more regular, it would be 2.
Residency obliviously changes those numbers a bit.

May I ask what leads to a 3 year stay in Korea?

I have read that the Korea tour is considered a hardship tour so it is limited to 1 year. But if the dentist decides to bring their spouse and/or children then the tour is 2 years because it is considered accompanied.

But then what factor create a 3 year tour?

Joint Travel Regulation Link for tour lengths Germany 2 year unaccompanied and 3 year accompanied.
