Hi guys,

I'm considering joining the Army Reserve for at least one tour.
What are the average service conditions for a Board Certified Periodontist with no prior military service?

By this, I mean living conditions both while in training or if sent to Afghanistan: Rank, Salary and other perks, if any.

Best

😕

If you are in the Reserves, and you have already graduated as a periodontist - you will probably come in as a Major. Your weekend drill pay can be found at the following site.

http://www.dfas.mil/militarypay/militarypaytables.html - about $555 a weekend. When/if you deploy you will go for 3 months and could get around $8k month - not sure if the reserves get all the same bonuses as the active guys.

Any training you do will only be for 2 weeks at a time, so split the monthly pay in half.
