Hello,

I was pondering about how I was going to pay for my veterinary tuition when I came across the army supporting veterinarians if you serve with them. It actually sounds pretty cool because you can travel around the world and service animals in developing countries and get paid while doing it. You get your tuition paid, stipend during school and probably gain a lot of experience while working for them.

The army website seems a bit biased, so I was wondering if anyone is either in the program or has more information about the program that can give me a deeper insight as to their thoughts about joining the army-veterinary medicine, pros and/or cons. I would greatly appreciate it. It seems to good to be true. THANK YOU!!!!

:)

Sorry if this is overload, but here are a few threads that have addressed this previously:

http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=399804

The last of these is the most extensive. It's a bit old, but I doubt much has changed and I don't think we have anyone here that's actually tried the program themselves.

Hopefully some of that helps. I don't have any knowledge about the program save what's mentioned in those threads, anyway. :)
