Excited to get an interview from this program today. Was wondering if anyone had recent experience with it, and what thoughts are on how the switch from AOA this year might effect the program.

I rotated there approx three years ago when it was still AOA. It was...polarizing. Some people I know loved it, others did not.

I found the faculty disinterested, the upper levels were excellent but overworked, limited resources in terms of fellowships, mentoring, or other niche opportunities; a bonus is that it is located in an unpleasant part of CA. Being run by a CMG also a minus to some.

I anticipate that going to ACGME will make it better. Have they gone to three years? That alone is a huge improvement.

Any updates on this program? Has ACGME accreditation changed anything? Would appreciate any info.
