I am relentless when it comes to people calling me a provider. I scribble out "provider" on any piece of paper I see and write "physician". I make a point of it when talking.

The problem is, no one else seems to care. They've given up on correct terminology.

But as Dr Kaplan implies, it makes a difference. I wish all physicians, nurses, PA's - would agree. We are not selling a phone or cable service. We are not a utility company.
