I was an Art History major during undergrad, so I only took the most basic required courses for med school (Intro Bio, Chem, Orgo, & Physics), plus a random Biochem class. I did very well in all of them, but does it put me at a disadvantage to have not taken any more upper levels? I hear they like diversity. 😀

I was an Art major, in painting and drawing. I think they do like diversity. My friend who went to art school with me is now starting his plastics residency this month. All things equal, there is no disadvantage.

I was an anthro major and I didn't take that many upper-level bio courses. I chose anthro because I wanted to stand out a bit, and I guess it worked? 😀

This is infinitely better than majoring in biology.
