Hi,

I am pre-med at UCLA and am in my third year. I haven't taken the MCAT yet (planning for spring test) and I have a 3.62 science GPA so far (My cum GPA is lower at 3.6..thanks to non-science requirements that brought it down). I am just starting my major courses in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology (MCDB) and am wondering if, since the title of most of the courses include MCDB, these classes would add to my science GPA even though they are not pre-med pre-reqs. For example, would a courses titled "Microbiology: Virology" or "MCDB: Developmental Biology" add to my science GPA or not?

Help?

these courses should satisfy and fall under BCPM courses.

I'm positive that they would. It's not ambiguous such as PSYC 400 Psychopharmacology. When it comes right down to it, those courses are a part of the biology department and would fall under the "B" is BCMP.
