Rather than add to the threads about I got this, what school can I go to, or Look how awesome I am, I am interested in seeing the lowest score anyone got, and also an update as to their process. Basically I am testing the absurd theory out there that MCAT score doesnt matter, i.e. people who say their cousin knows a guy who got into Harvard with a 17M, while at the same time serving my ego and salving my pride from the beating I got from the MCAT beast.

I've heard the search function on SDN is not impressive, but you may wanna give it a run for a thread like "what's the lowest MCAT score that anyone's gotten in with?".

I did post some of the information given to me by the Pre-Health advisor at Binghamton Univ. in Upstate NY. I've forgotten the exact stats, but I think that I found a person that got in (maybe DO) with a 15. BU does have a bunch of URM applicants, and the students are very much from NYC and Long Island, so the "15 student" may indeed be well connected to the schools in that area. Anyways, it's the closest I can give to verified fact for admission.

the lowest MCAT i've ever heard an undergrad at my school get in with is a 21 (D.O. school, though). this little factoid came straight from my pre-med advisor.

Med schools look at students as a whole than a sum of MCAT scores + gpa+ ecs. Someone who got in with a low score might have exceptional circumstances. Techinically, that person is not representative of that school. I still like to stick to the old way-use averages.

That is the lamest **** I've ever heard. Unless you're weird or highly unlucky it's all mcat/gpa.

Otherwise you have to be nontrad w/ 3+ years of some major experience or URM.
