Hi all. I am a CA1 and was asked to help present a poster at ASA as the senior resident was fortunate enough to have several projects accepted. Unfortunately, the senior resident missed the deadline to change the name of the presenter of the poster from his to mine. Is there anyway to have this changed? Would there be any issue if I attended and presented the poster? For clarification, my name will be on the poster. Could a call or an email to the correct person help facilitate the presenter name change?

Sorry if some of these questions are dumb, I have never been to ASA.

Go. Present it. Put it on your CV.

No one is going to search the ASA meeting presenters list from 4 years earlier to make sure your name was on the list. At least I can’t imagine actually checking up on that sort of thing.

You can call and ask it to be changed. Just look at the website and figure it out. It should be no problem at all if you’re on the abstract. While no one will *probably* care there is a chance the moderator could report the absence (which is technically in the instructors for them) - there are some penalties with that, I seem to remember a ban from presenting at future meetings for a number of years.
