I haven't been put on the ATSU computer system yet and I haven't been able to find a calendar of the 2007/8 school year on their web site. Is there one posted in the student's area of the ATSU site? Can someone grab it and either post it here or send it to me via email?

Thanks,

RP

I would also be aware that you won't graduate until the end of June. I can't consolidate my loans because there isn't in school consolidation anymore and since my residency program starts before I technically graduate on the 30th. It might be something they change but next year's class graduates in late June as well.

Does anyone know if we go year round for all 4 years? Also, does anyone know the dress code?

What does "continuing studies" mean if June 13th is the "last day of class"?

Dress code is bidness casual- no jeans, shorts, or tank-tops, and I heard somewhere that scrubs are blue. Of course, I have a bunch of green scrubs...

RP

Can we wear scrubs all the time or is it only on days we go to the sim lab?

Hey All,
To answer some of your questions-the school is technically year round, but during the first summer your "Continuing Studies" is actually studying for the boards. Our last day is next Monday, then we have up until July 29th or so to take Part 1 😱, then we start back up on July 30th. During the other summers I believe we have classes that count towards out Certificate of Public Health, as well as an optional rotation between our D3 and D4 years.
As for the dress code-business casual or scrubs (blue) are acceptable whether you are in sim lab, clinic, or lecture. Some people have worn scrubs pretty much the entire 1st year, even though we haven't really been in the sim lab until the last couple of months. Anyway, I hope this helps!

Thanks for the info banana slug and rp 🙂

I found where I got the info on blue scrubs at ASDOH- There was a welcome letter from ASDA with a "welcome packet". On the back of the packet the last item says "business attire and only three shades of blue scrubs (navy, royal, and light bue)..."

Another item to note from the same page:
"AzDA gives free backpacks so don't waste money purchasing a new backpack or computer slipcover before arriving."

RP

I also believe that they have to plain scrubs without any prints on them.
