hi,

in the ASDOH secondary, it asks for COMPENSATED dental experience (i.e. dental assisting, hygienist), and then another section for VOLUNTEER dental experience that does NOT include shadowing/observation. where would i put dental experience that is shadowing/observation AND assisting but is UNCOMPENSATED?

Well, if it's assisting, that would cover part of your volunteer dental experience. . .

I just filled out the App. I don't believe they want to hear about your shadowing. In fact it specifically says not to list shadowing. I guess they get that info from the AADSAS app.

just wondering -- anyone have any good reasons why ASDOH or Midwestern is "special". I'm having trouble writing about why I want to attend either of those schools specifically!

you suffer from hypothyroidism. that's a good reason.

why not check their websites for their mission statements or special programs/associations they have. maybe something about the cities?

i hate these types of Qs.

i told them arizona was in an area i wanted to live in and that it was close to home but far enough away from family to live independently. 🙂 then i talked about the importance of maintaining close bonds to my family both physically and eomotionally. 🙂 haha i think it was quite awfully generic what i wrote... :-\
