I am moving to Arizona with my husband for his job, and I pretty much have no choice but to try and get into ASDOH....any info or advice about this school and stats if you have gotten in etc... would be much appreciated! Thanks...

ASDOH places a strong emphasis on public health. Therefore, make sure you have plenty of community service or you won't even get an interview there. Volunteer at a local dental clinic, I think they would like that. Also, be aware of current events, in the interview they will ask you questons about the rest of the world. Good luck!

yea make sure you get lot of public health and community service under your belt! because when it comes down to it, it is all about doing anything to get into the school! even it it's not right for you!

i think i have the public health part down (working on certificate in public health from UT; and I volunteer at an HIV/AIDS dental clinicWhen you say current events around the world though--does that mean all types of news, or more health oriented news (health care systems in different places, access to care, etc...) thanks

You're jumping the gun worrying about interview specifics. You need to get an interview first and there's a 10% shot of that happening.

The one thing working in your favor is that you are female, and they like diversity in the class. The ASDOH class is typically at least half female. Good luck!

Thanks! I just found out I will be going to AZ the week of April 9th. I am going to see if I can check out the dental school. I've never been to AZ but it will soon be home for the next 30+ years!!
